Last week, the Rio Grande Foundation hosted a candidate forum between District 3 (the northern district) Congressional candidates Tom Mullins and Adam Kokesh. Incumbent Ben Ray Lujan was invited, but did not attend.
On Wednesday, December 9, the Rio Grande Foundation hosted a candidate forum to which each of the five currently-declared candidates was invited. Only two, Rep. Janice Arnold-Jones and Doug Turner participated while the Weh campaign was represented in the opening session by Whitney Cheshire. Video of the forum is below:
On December 2nd, the Rio Grande Foundation hosted a unique event called "Liberty in Concert" with Jamie Story who is president of the Grassroot Institute in Hawaii and a former Miss Texas. The event included a brief classical concert and talk about her work for our sister think tank the Texas Public Policy Foundation and in the liberty movement.

Albuquerque voters are voting now to decide whether or not to extend a 1/4 cent transportation tax. RGF President Paul Gessing was interviewed for a segment on Channel 13's news broadcast on the fact that the tax has no expiration date and that voters would benefit from seeing $35 million in their pockets rather than being used by local government.
